This painting was inspired by my interest in the contrast between urban elements against vast desolate plains, creating and emphasising the booth's smallness and vulnerability. In this painting I attempted to convey an imposing and uncomfortable atmosphere by isolating a phone booth while still maintaining an urban ambiance, making an unnerving sense.
