Moving City
James, Age 15
I drew small sections at a time, and it grew and developed gradually. It felt like a doodle rather than a proper drawing. I imagined a whole world inside the city- the residents' daily lives, the engines and wheels moving, the noise created by the different parts interacting, how it traverses varied landscapes and what it uses for fuel. In doing so, I recalled and incorporated distinct urban landmarks into the framework of the machine to make the city recognisable.
