The Three Stages of Shock
Sophia, Age 14
I remember being plunged into lockdown once again in early 2021. Fourteen year old me found it incredibly easy to shut off from the world around me and isolate my emotions. The stress began piling up: school, friendships, family stress, remaining active and, most of all, maintaining a positive mindset. Anxiety and upset builds up in stages, before reaching an unbearable point. No matter how long you put it off, it will eventually come flowing out. This painting represents me and my complete paroxysm of emotions.
