During lockdown I had to use what materials I had available. I decided to explore using teabags as a surface. I wanted to create a series of birds on them to reflect freedom which we do not have. I added little tags with the bird names, like the tags on teabags. I chose to paint exotic birds as they have such lovely plumage and remind me of holidays abroad.
