Landscape Weave
Collaboration, P7 students, Age 11
The P7 pupils were studying Scottish landscape as part of their environmental studies. They completed artwork at home during remote learning in the winter term. They were inspired by the many colours and textures found in our natural landscape. As an art and design project they all received a miniature loom (7cm x 8cm) and wool, posted out to them during lockdown. They completed an individual abstract landscape weave at home using a limit of four colours per loom, and sent it back to school. We then arranged the larger composite landscape scene inspired by the Scottish Cairngorms. This will hang in the Geography Department in school for all to see.
